What is your role at Answering Service Care?

I am the Human Resources Manager. I oversee and manage the company’s human resources department, while also providing support to my colleagues. My favorite part of my job is being there for our employees during the hard times. It’s easy to be there for people when everything is going well but being there for them during the difficult times is where I can really make a difference. I love being able to show our employees that they are not just a number here. Answering Service Care is truly a family.

How long have you been with the company?

I joined the Answering Service Care family in April 2008. I started as the Human Resources Assistant and have worked my way up to my current role as the Human Resources Manager role.

Describe Answering Service Care in 3 words.

Family, patience, and growth.

Have you learned any important lessons while working here?

I have learned many lessons here. Most importantly, I have learned to trust the process and always strive to avoid stagnation.

What is one accomplishment in your life that you’re really proud of?

Starting my own baking business. It’s called Wanna’s Cake & Cupcakes and I bake everything you can think of. Themed birthday cakes, cake pops, carrot cake, banana pudding, cupcakes, and much more.

Launching Wanna’s Cake & Cupcakes was a lifelong dream for me. I have had a passion for baking since I was five years old and I just love being in the kitchen.

Where are you originally from?

I am originally from Anchorage, Alaska, but I have lived in sunny South Florida since 2007.

What is something people may not know about you?

I am a fitness fanatic. I work out six days a week, alternating between HIIT (high-intensity interval training) and weight training. I have also participated in many 5k and 10k runs. Someday I hope to compete in a fitness competition or run a marathon.

What are you most excited about in the upcoming months?

I am looking forward to seeing the U.S. economy start to show some sort of normalcy.
