This month we sat down with Jessica Galdamez, a Regional Manager and key member of our Answering Service team.
What is your role with the company?
I was previously Regional Manager for Florida. I have recently moved into other regions, including the Midwest and Southwest. This means that my team and I cover the calls for this particular region.
I have been with Answering Service Care since 2011. I started as an Answering Service agent, and was Regional Manager for Florida for over a year up until my recent promotion.
What is it like to work with this company?
There is a lot to learn! When you work in different departments, you begin to see and learn why things are done in specific ways. I am always learning something new and every day is different. When I look at the way the company functions, I can see how everyone is a small piece of the pie. Without one person or one department, things wouldn’t run as well.
I love my team – they are like family to me. Everyone is very willing to help at all times, and everyone is so understanding, patient and supportive. You just need to ask, and someone will guide you in whatever direction to do whatever is needed. I look forward to experiencing something different every day.
Have you learned any important lessons while working here in this job?
Before I worked here, I didn’t really know what good customer service was. Working here has really taught me to be more polite, patient and courteous. I have learned to be more patient and understanding as far as what other people are dealing with, and this approach makes a difference in all areas of my life.
What kinds of things do you like to do outside of work?
I love going to the beach and to the park — I love nature!
In addition to my full-time position at Answering Service Care, I am also a full-time student studying to be an Interior Designer. It’s a lot to juggle, and it’s certainly a challenge.
I was born in California, and I have lived in South Florida since 2007.
